Terry O’Mahony: 

A 40 year plus veteran of the construction industry.  He started his career as an apprentice joiner with a national building contractor.

During his long and successful career he has risen through the ranks of the construction industry; arguably peaking when he became a major shareholder and Managing Directors of a specialist Design and Build contracting business.  Sadly like most of us, he has experienced major successes as well as a number of business disappointments and setbacks. But that’s okay because he’s always been a self-starter and an inspired entrepreneur within a construction industry!

He has worked with in a variety of businesses including large national construction consultancies, managing a team of PMs to deliver multi-million pound projects in the north of England.

Terry’s long standing membership of The Chartered Institute of Building has allowed CLC to become an accredited full member of the CIOB’s Chartered Building Consultancy scheme.  Terry is a highly experienced and respected ‘Business Growth Coach’, having worked on the government’s accredited ‘Growth Accelerator’ programme.

During the past forty years Terry has been engaged in the strategic growth, marketing and selling of goods and services within the construction industry for both large and small businesses. As a consequence he has coached and worked alongside some of the smartest and most successful people in the construction industry.


Andrea O’Mahony:

Andrea has had a varied career that has spanning the surveying and legal professions, property and construction fields, and higher education and learning environment.  She has successfully held a variety of senior roles in the private sector and HE, and successfully runs her own business.

From a working class background, Andrea pushed through the social norms to achieve academic success. Her first foray back into the learning environment was in her early 30s when she studied part-time for her Chartered Institute of Marketing Certificate. To this she has added an MBA with Distinction and an MA in International Higher Education.   Andrea has expertise in marketing, client relationship management and business administration, which is further enhanced by her analytical and pragmatic approach to finding solutions and getting things done.

For the past 10 years Andrea’s career has been in learning and development where she has supported individuals from students, senior executives and small bsiness owners  helping them to develop their career paths and/or businesses.

Andrea believes in, and is proof that, anything is possible, and has a work ethic that is boundless.


Peter Jubb:

Is a Chartered Marketer and Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, the world’s leading marketing organisation. Peter has 27 years experience in Construction business development, marketing and sales.

In 2009 and after working at senior management and director level for major and regional contractors achieving high levels of growth, Peter set up his own consultancy, Refraction Marketing. The primary goal was to focus on SME contractors and construction consultants to help them achieve growth at a time when the economic climate was severely depressed.

Over the last 5 years Peter has developed a range of client, including  consulting engineers, cost consultants, mechanical and electrical consultants, Main Contractors and Sub-Contractors and in each case has helped them to achieve significant growth by working to a structured plan and defined marketing budget. This has resulted in some cases of growth rates of in excess of 20% per annum, with several millions of pounds added to fee levels/turnover and better margins through improved work selection and appointments to frameworks.

Peter has continued to work with a number of the clients that he started with in 2009, because even as the market improves, the challenges keep evolving, requiring new solutions and the new growth that has been created needs constantly managing.

Peter is a likeable and enthusiastic professional who takes pride in helping organisations to grow and mentoring others to become better at business development, marketing and sales.  More than anything, Peter is a” real practitioner”, rather than a theorist, someone you can identify with, trust and build an excellent working relationship with.
