The Bribery Act – how does it affect you?
BOOK NOW: 14 September 2017
“ Fraud and Corruption cost the UK economy £193 billion last year, with business fraud accounting for £144 billion of that figure. A passive approach to fraud prevention is no longer an option for UK businesses wishing to protect themselves from the threat of Fraud and Corruption. A proactive approach to mitigating fraud risk in areas such as Procurement, Invoicing, Finance and Recruitment are vital in ensuring that businesses do not become victims of the ever developing fraud threat.”
Gavin Ball, Fraud and Corruption Specialist, Knights1759.
Gavin leads the business crime practice at Knights1759. He has over 15 years’ experience working with businesses across the world helping them to prevent, detect and investigate fraud and corruption in their organisations.
He has previously worked for Deloitte and RSM accountancy practices managing their fraud and forensic investigation teams and more latterly was employed by Rolls-Royce to assist them with a large scale bribery and corruption investigation undertaken by the Serious Fraud Office and their resulting Anti-Bribery and Corruption remediation plans.
Gavin will speak to us in September about;
- The Bribery Act and its Legislation,
- The Acts implementation into UK business,
- The risks and costs of failing to implement an Anti-Bribery Compliance programme and;
- Fraud in the Procurement process.
He will use “real life” case studies and examples to demonstrate the risks to UK businesses of all sizes from both internal corruption and external fraud and will provide insight and advice on how to proportionately protect your organisation from this threat.
